As energy efficiency and carbon pollution become a standard consideration for new and existing buildings, the supply chain is responding with new products that make climate-friendly buildings more achievable than ever. One of the newest products that is now available to BC's building industry is the Galletti HTH HS line of electric air-to-water heat pumps, distributed by Riada Sales.
What makes these heat pumps so special? Among other things, it's their operating range. They can produce 65°C (149°F) water at an ambient air temperature of -20°C! This makes them ideal for fully satisfying all space heating and/or domestic hot water requirements for the vast majority of new and existing large buildings throughout the province, including in some of the colder climate zones. This could be a drop-in solution for many older buildings with high-temperature hydronic heating systems. It's the beginning of a wave of new heat pumps that use lower GWP refrigerants.
