Come join us to learn about the leadership taken by the Squamish Nation on the impressive Sen̓áḵw development and the tactics that have allowed this project to meet both climate goals and housing needs while bringing in thoughtful cultural integration.
The day is comprised of two parts: a presentation at the office of Revery Architecture, followed by two simultaneous tours (20 spaces each) for those with and without their own personal protective equipment (PPE, including steel toed boots, a high visibility vest, and hard hat). Participation in the tour requiring PPE will be first-come-first served.
Presentation (1 hr)
Revery Architecture, (3rd floor) 1706 W 1st Ave, Vancouver
The session will begin near the site, at Revery’s office. First, the design team will lead a presentation detailing strategies used to cost-effectively achieve the top step of the Zero Carbon Step Code with a community district energy system, integrated low embodied carbon strategies, principles of reconciliation, and many more sustainability measures.

Each tour will be outdoors on potentially uneven ground. Participants are encouraged to dress appropriately for the weather, and be comfortable walking for about 1 hour in construction site conditions.
