Climate Resilience Training Program for Building Sector Professionals

The Climate Risk Institute, in collaboration with Engineers and Geoscientists BC, developed a course funded by Natural Resources Canada. It provides a foundation for climate risk assessment and resiliency measures in planning, design, and construction of Part 3 buildings. The course supports capacity building for engineers, architects, planners, and other building sector professionals.

ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING CONSIDERATIONS IN DECARBONIZING EXISTING PART 3 BUILDINGS

This event will provide electrical engineering considerations in decarbonizing existing Part 3 buildings. The webinar will provide an overview of considerations for holistic, long-term planning for current and future electrical needs and implications for load planning, utility and peak demand-side management, and resiliency. Participants can expect to learn about electric vehicle charging infrastructure, and heat pumps through insights, best practices, and lessons learned from their own projects.
