High Performance Series: Introduction to High Performance Building Standards and Programs

Join Natasha Brooks from Building Efficiency Resources (BER), Brett Cass from the Canadian Home Builders’ Association (CHBA) and Michael Quast from the Passive House Canada for an informative webinar designed to help Energy Advisors better understand and communicate the differences between major high-performance building standards. This session will clarify the distinctions between CHBA Net Zero Homes, Passive House certification, and Phius standards, and show how these programs can complement one another rather than compete.

Climate Resilience Training Program for Building Sector Professionals

The Climate Risk Institute, in collaboration with Engineers and Geoscientists BC, developed a course funded by Natural Resources Canada. It provides a foundation for climate risk assessment and resiliency measures in planning, design, and construction of Part 3 buildings. The course supports capacity building for engineers, architects, planners, and other building sector professionals.

Offsite Manufacturing, CSA Certification & Local Permitting Webinar

This webinar aims to foster awareness about CSA certification of manufactured buildings, modules and panels to help local governments integrate certification into bylaws and the permitting process and help industry navigate this process. It will outline the benefits to local governments, the construction industry and manufacturers and risk management considerations to maximize code and bylaw compliance, including unique local requirements such as seismic standards and advanced energy step code. CSA A277 certification of manufactured buildings, modules and panels will be the focus.

CACEA's Integrated Design Process Facilitation Training - Virtual Session

The Integrated Design Process (IDP) is a highly collaborative approach to achieving sustainable (low energy, low carbon) practices and outcomes for both new construction and existing homes. It ensures delivery of affordable, durable, healthy homes for Canadians. 

CACEA is offering an interactive training program designed to provide comprehensive information about the IDP. The program places a strong emphasis on facilitation skills, equipping participants with the tools and techniques needed to lead and effectively guide this crucial process.
