The building permitting process can seem both daunting and confusing. This presentation is intended to outline the permitting process, the reasons for this process as well discuss some pitfalls during the submissions which delays approval.

The City of Vancouver and Focal Engineering will present draft updates proposed for the City's Energy Modelling Guidelines (CoV EMG v3.) These updates build on the feedback from the first workshop (held April 6th) and subsequent engagement, research, modelling and other work completed.
HAVAN and FortisBC are presenting a highly anticipated in-person workshop, Communicating the Value of the Energy Efficiency Elements of High Performance Homes with Gord Cooke. It is in the process of being approved for 5.5 CPDs with BC Housing.
This session will empower builders with the communication skills to be able present the increased value of the BC Building Code Energy Step Code Three, and to encourage homeowners to opt for the even better performance of Steps Four and Five.
